Strokes by Namrata Mehta, a homegrown consumer lifestyle brand founded by artist, architect and entrepreneur Namrata Mehta, has raised Rs 3.3 crore from investor Shriyam Bhagnani to strengthen its business operations and accelerate its next phase of growth. An actor who has played the lead role in Sumo Didi, set to release on ZEE5 on 23rd October, Shriyam brings a keen interest in distinctive Indian consumer brands and their growth potential. Founded in 2020, Strokes began as a small home-based venture and has since evolved into a lifestyle brand specialising in bags and accessories, including handbags, totes, work bags and slings.

The brand has established a presence across multiple channels, including its direct-to-consumer (D2C) website, online marketplaces and offline retail outlets. Built around a cruelty-free philosophy, Strokes combines everyday functionality with a purpose-led approach to business. The brand also contributes a part of its website sales towards the feeding and medical care of stray animals, an initiative inspired by Namrata’s rescued cat, Chino.
