The city&rsquo;s cultural calendar just received a dazzling highlight with &ldquo;Global Treasures&rdquo;, an exhibition curated by young art collector and founder of Bespoke Art Gallery, Devin Gawarvala. Known for his passion for heritage and storytelling through art, Devin has brought together an extraordinary line-up of celebrated Indian and international artists in a showcase that blends tradition, imagination, and contemporary thought.

On view at Bespoke Art Gallery, Ahmedabad, From August 31st to oct &nbsp;7th, 2025, the exhibition welcomes visitors daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. With nearly 60 unique works of art, the collection spans mixed media, acrylic, textured paintings, sculptures, installations, and even traditional forms such as Pichwai, Tanjore, and Perishious pieces. It&rsquo;s a rare opportunity for art enthusiasts to witness such a diverse gathering of creativity under one roof.
For Devin, the inspiration comes from ancient cultures across the globe. Each artwork tells a story - weaving together time, place, and spirit. &ldquo;Art is a language that bridges the past and the present. Each of my works tells a story of human heritage that touches every viewer personally,&rdquo; says Devin, who sees this exhibition as more than a collection - it&rsquo;s a dreamscape celebrating art&rsquo;s ability to inspire and connect.
Indian Masters and Trailblazers
The line-up boasts some of the country&rsquo;s most decorated names. Bajju Sir (Padma Shri recipient), Keshari Nandan (Lalit Kala Akademi National Award for Ceramics), and Thota Vaikuntam (National Film Award for Best Production Design) bring gravitas to the show. The late K.G. Subramanyan, one of India&rsquo;s most legendary artists and a Padma Vibhushan awardee, also features prominently, alongside iconic sculptors like Himmat Shah (Kalidasa Samman, Lalit Kala Fellowship) and Arun Pandit (Lalit Kala Akademi National Award).
The exhibition also shines a light on contemporary names who are pushing boundaries: Rini Dhumal (Chancellor&rsquo;s Gold Medal, French Govt. Scholarship), Karl Antao (Bendre Husain Award, Bombay Art Society Award), Vipul Kumar (Fulbright and Charles Wallace Fellowships), Ankon Mitra (Lexus Design Award 2020), and Harsha Durugadda (Rio Tinto Sculpture Award, Australia, 2017). Together, they create a vibrant dialogue between tradition and modernity.

Global Icons
Balancing the Indian greats are international stars. The acclaimed duo Gillie &amp; Marc, finalists for the Archibald Prize and winners of multiple awards at Sculpture by the Sea in Sydney, bring their globally recognized works. Bobur Ismailov, decorated with the Golden Medal of the Fine Arts Academy of Uzbekistan, and Timur D. Vatz, a Guinness Prize and B.P. Portrait Award winner, add further depth to the international roster.
Other notable artists on display include Muzaffar Ali, Christian Saldert, Walera Martynchik, Harshil Patel, Saroj Kumar Singh, M. Narayan, Jesus Curia, JP Kala, Evelyne Brader-Frank, among others - making Global Treasures a showcase of talent that transcends borders.
Beyond the Canvas
To make the exhibition more engaging, art workshops and interactive sessions have been planned, giving young artists a chance to learn directly from Devin and interact with the legacy of the masters featured. This aligns with Devin&rsquo;s larger vision as a conservationist and philanthropist, whose interests extend into architecture, design, and landscaping - always circling back to his core belief in preserving heritage and inspiring future generations.
