When candidates think about management education in India, two names always stand out that is IITs and IIMs. While IITs are famous for engineering, many of them, such as IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, and IIT Madras, also run highly respected management schools. On the other hand, IIMs, like IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, and IIM Calcutta, are fully dedicated to management studies.

For PGDM Admission 2025, both IITs and IIMs accept admissions mainly through the CAT exam, followed by group discussions, written tests, and personal interviews. The eligibility is also similar as students have to hold a bachelor’s degree in any specializations with at least 50% to 60% marks. However, the fee structure of the program differs depending on different institutes such as IIM fees usually ranges between INR 20 to INR 25 lakhs, while IITs keep it lower, generally between INR 10 to INR 15 lakhs.
