In a landmark move towards sustainability, Lyra Network, in collaboration with the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IFCCI) and Khushiyaan Foundation, has launched the Zero Plastic Model-a sustainable plastic waste management initiative aimed at tackling plastic pollution at its core on Earth Day 2025.
This ambitious project will focus on Prabhadevi Beach, Mumbai, a location that has faced significant plastic waste accumulation over the years. Over the next two years, dedicated waste pickers will be employed under this initiative to systematically collect plastic waste, ensuring it is recycled efficiently. The collected waste will be sent to Khushiyaan Foundation's recycling unit, where it will be processed into reusable materials-preventing it from reaching landfills or water bodies.
