Displaying fine skill and composure, Mumbai’s Krisha Tamhant Jain clinched the Under-11 Girls title at the 38th National Chess Championship. WCM Divi Bijesh of Kerala secured second place, while Pooja Shree R from Tamil Nadu finished third. The event, organised by the All India Chess Federation, concluded at Jain Hills, Jalgaon, drawing some of the country’s most promising young players.

In the Under-11 Open category, Aarit Kapil took top honours, followed by Oishik Mondal of West Bengal in second place and Advik Amit Agrawal of Maharashtra in third.
