A generation raised on gym mirrors, Peloton apps, and productivity podcasts is quietly reaching for something their grandfathers wore - the Hanuman locket, worn close to the chest, engraved with strength.

For decades, the Hanuman locket was jewellery worn by two very specific groups of people in India - the deeply devout, and the elderly. It was rarely seen on a 28-year-old software engineer in Gurgaon, or a fashion student in Mumbai's Bandra. That's changing, and the shift is visible in both retail data and Instagram feeds.
