31 March,2026 02:42 PM IST | Mumbai | mid-day online correspondentA case has been registered against the organisers of rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh’s Mumbai concert after authorities found that unauthorised laser lights were used during the event. The show, held in the city recently, has now come under scrutiny for allegedly violating safety norms, particularly those related to aviation regulations. FIR filed against organisers of Honey Singh's concert According to reports, the laser lights used during the performance were not approved and were projected into restricted airspace, which can pose a serious risk to aircraft operations. Such high-intensity beams are regulated strictly, especially in areas falling under flight paths or near airports, as they can distract or temporarily impair pilots. Following the incident, local authorities took cognisance of the violation and filed a police case against the event organisers. The action highlights growing concerns around compliance and safety measures at large-scale live events in metropolitan cities like Mumbai, where concerts often take place close to sensitive zones. The concert, part of Honey Singh’s ongoing tour, had already been making headlines due to issues related to crowd management and organisation. With the addition of this legal trouble, the event has sparked wider conversations about how large public gatherings are managed and monitored. While the performance itself drew massive crowds and high energy from fans, the alleged use of illegal lighting equipment has now overshadowed the musical spectacle. All about the concert Authorities are expected to investigate the matter further to determine accountability and whether proper permissions were sought before installing and operating the laser systems. If found guilty, the organisers could face penalties under relevant laws governing public safety and aviation security. The incident serves as a reminder of the strict regulations surrounding event production in urban areas, especially when it comes to equipment that could interfere with critical infrastructure. As live concerts continue to grow in scale and popularity across India, ensuring adherence to safety norms remains crucial to avoid such legal complications. Recently, Honey Singh also reacted to the video of a woman trespassing his concert by climbing the gate. He called her 'sherni' for the act and lauded her courage.
