Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone

Fact Check: Song from SRK and Deepika Padukone starrer King get leaked

A video claiming to show a leaked romantic song featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone from the upcoming film King has gone viral on social media, sending fans into a frenzy. The short clip, widely shared across platforms, shows the much-loved on-screen pair in an intense romantic moment, complete with a close embrace and a soulful track playing in the background. However, the excitement surrounding the clip has now been tempered by the truth behind it. Fact check: Was the video real or AI? Despite appearing convincing at first glance, the viral video is not an actual scene from King. It has been revealed to be a fan-made edit created using artificial intelligence tools. The clip stitches together manipulated visuals that resemble Shah Rukh Khan’s reported look for the film, paired with Deepika Padukone styled in glamorous outfits, giving the illusion of an official song sequence. The addition of romantic lyrics and dramatic visuals further fuelled speculation that a song from the film had been leaked online. KING SONG LEAKED Who tf made this 😭 pic.twitter.com/6piFMvgSj7 — Sameer (@sameerahmadx) December 18, 2025 As the video gained traction, several social media users began questioning its authenticity. Many pointed out the unnatural transitions, visual inconsistencies, and overly polished appearance that hinted at AI involvement. Soon after, it became clear that no official footage, song, or teaser from King had been released by the makers, confirming that the clip was purely fictional. The viral edit once again highlights how advanced AI technology has become, making it increasingly difficult for viewers to distinguish between real and fabricated content. While some fans praised the creativity behind the video, others expressed concern over how easily such edits can be mistaken for official material and spread misinformation. Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone reunite Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s pairing continues to generate immense excitement, thanks to their iconic collaborations in films like Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, and Pathaan. Their reunion in King is already one of the most anticipated aspects of the film, which perhaps explains why even a fake clip managed to attract so much attention. The makers of King have not issued any statement regarding the viral video, maintaining silence as anticipation around the film continues to build. Until official visuals or music are released, fans are advised to treat such viral content with caution. While the AI-generated clip may not be real, it serves as proof of the audience’s eagerness to see Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone together again on the big screen, a reunion that continues to spark excitement, even through unofficial fan creations.

They added that investigations into the death of the acclaimed Assamese singer are still ongoing. The Singapore police released a statement on Friday, December 19, amid growing online speculation. Interestingly, their statement conflicts with the media reports emerging from India. Singapore police find no foul play Addressing rumours spreading on social media, the SPF emphasised that the case remains open and is being handled rigorously under Singapore’s legal framework. In its official statement, the police stated, “The Singapore Police Force (SPF) is aware of online speculation regarding the circumstances of Mr Zubeen Garg’s death, and that the Indian media has reported that a Special Investigation Team in India has charged four persons for the murder of Mr Garg. The case is currently still being investigated by the SPF, in accordance with the Singapore Coroners Act 2010. Based on our investigations so far, the SPF does not suspect foul play in the death of Mr Garg." The Singapore authorities further explained that once the police investigation is completed, its findings will be formally submitted to the State Coroner. Subsequently, a Coroner’s Inquiry (CI) will be conducted to decide the exact cause and circumstances surrounding the singer’s death. According to the SPF, the inquiry hearings are expected to take place in January and February 2026. The Coroner’s Inquiry is a fact-finding legal process, and the conclusions of the inquiry will be made public once proceedings are complete. The police also urged restraint, stating that they remain committed to a thorough and professional investigation into the matter. They also appealed to the public to refrain from spreading unverified information. Probe ongoing in India Meanwhile, the authorities in India have also been conducting a parallel probe through a Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the Assam Police. On December 12, the SIT filed a detailed chargesheet before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court in Guwahati. According to reports, the main chargesheet spans approximately 2,500 pages and is supported by an additional 12,000 pages of documents. The court has scheduled the next hearing for December 22. So far, the Assam Police SIT and CID have arrested seven individuals, including event organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta, Zubeen Garg’s manager Siddharth Sharma, bandmate Shekhar Jyoti Goswami, co-singer Amritprava Mahanta, the singer’s cousin Sandipan Garg, and personal security officers Nandeswar Bora and Paresh Baishya in connection with the case.  Earlier, on October 21, a high-level SIT delegation led by Special DGP (CID) Munna Prasad Gupta had travelled to Singapore to coordinate with local authorities. Your directorial venture, Nishaanchi, was really a passion project, and much like what usually happens with your films, you know, it gains a cult following over the years; I think pretty much similar is going to happen to Nishaanchi. However, were you disappointed or upset with the box office reception of the film?" Reacting to this, Kashyup said, "No, no, I'm used to it," leaving everyone laughing. "I'm used to it because, yeah, I probably expected a little bit more and thought maybe the audience and I are cinema men. But then I realized the very second day", he added. The Gangs of Wasseypur maker went on to share, "I was used to it, then we decided to, because it was one film, we decided to put that one film, both parts together, on OTT. Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri

TMMTMTTM: Dharma, Badshah and Saregama sued for using Saat Samundar Paar

Just a day after the trailer of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri was launched, the film has now landed in legal trouble. Trimurti Films has allegedly filed a copyright infringement case in the Bombay High Court against Dharma Productions, Namah Pictures, music label Saregama, and rapper Badshah over the unauthorised use of the classic Hindi song Saat Samundar Paar from the 1992 film Vishwatma in the teaser. Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri makers sued The petition claims that the teaser prominently features the song’s signature beats as well as the hook line without obtaining consent from the original producer. Thus, it seeks urgent ad-interim and interim injunctions, disclosure of licensing agreements, and damages of Rs 10 crore. The suit urges urgency in the dispute since the film starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 25, 2025. The petition also notes misrepresentation and unfair trade practices as grounds, while seeking ad-interim injunctions without notice to prevent further exploitation. The petition also requests the delivery up of infringing material for destruction. It further demands an account of profits earned by the defendants as an alternative relief. The petition also noted that Saregama has filed a caveat anticipating the suit. In the relief, Saregama sought an injunction restraining the respondents from using Saat Samundar Paar in any form in the film or its promotional content, disclosure of all agreements related to the song’s usage, as well as compensation for unauthorised exploitation of intellectual property.  The matter was listed before Single Bench judge Justice Sharmila Deshmukh, who has granted time to the defendants to file their reply. The case is scheduled to be heard again on December 22.  Senior advocate Venkatesh Dhond, assisted by advocate Hiren Kamod, appeared for Trimurti Films while the suit was filed through advocates Rashmi Singh and Karan Khiani. Saregama holds the distribution rights Notably, Saregama holds distribution rights to the track; however, its agreement reportedly does not permit granting film-sync licences without the original producer’s explicit approval, according to the petition. Trimurti Films argues that no artistic or financial consent was sought from them before using the song in the teaser, and that the respondents’ actions constitue to copyright violation and breach of moral rights. The petition claims that Saregama was granted limited mechanical rights of the song under a 1990 agreement and that it had no authority to license the song for synchronisation or remix in a new film. Trimurti further claimed that the defendants acted in concert, misrepresented rights, and engaged in passing off, creating a false association with the plaintiff. It also argues that the unauthorised use violates copyright and moral rights while also causing irreparable harm.

Aditya Dhar and Ram Gopal Varma

Aditya Dhar credits Ram Gopal Varma for Dhurandhar, here's why

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma claimed that Aditya Dhar has single-handedly changed the future of Indian cinema with his latest release Dhurandhar. Calling the movie a "QUANTUM LEAP in INDIAN CINEMA", he shared on social media, "I believe that AdityaDharFilms has completely and single handedly changed the future of Indian cinema , be it north or south ..That’s because Duradhar is not just a film.. it is a quantum leap What Dhurandhar achieves is not just scale, but a never before experienced vision not just in sight but in the mind. Aditya Dhar doesn’t direct scenes here… he engineers the states of minds of both the characters and us audience (sic)". RGV reviews Dhurandhar RGV shared his opinion about Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna-starrer using the following words, "The film doesn’t ask for your attention.. it commands it. From the very first shot, there’s a sense that something irreversible has been set in motion, and the audience is no longer a spectator but an accomplice to the happenings on screen. This is a film that refuses to be polite. The writing cuts with intent, the staging breathes menace, and the silences are as weaponized as the thunderous sound effects." He further went on to praise the performances in the film, which, according to him, have been designed to linger long after the audience leaves the theatre. "Characters walk in carrying history on their shoulders, and the film trusts the audience enough to read their scars rather than spoon feed their backstories. This confidence which could be easily mistaken for arrogance is precisely what marks Dhurandhar as a turning point for Indian cinema," added the director. Ram Gopal Varma pointed out that during the time when most filmmakers believe in dumbing down their films, Dhar is someone who assumes that the audience is intelligent, "the highest respect a director can pay to an audience". The Satya makers said that "Dhurandhar is not a film chasing trends or validation. "It is a solemn declaration, that Indian cinema doesn’t need to dilute itself to become successful and doesn’t need to mindlessly copy Hollywood," he added. Aditya Dhar reveals he always wanted to work under Ram Gopal Varma  Responding to RGV's tweet, the fan boy Dhar wrote, "If this tweet were a film, I would have gone to watch it first day first show, stood in the last row, and come out changed. I came to Mumbai years ago carrying one suitcase, one dream, and an unreasonable belief that I would one day work under Ram Gopal Verma. That never happened. But somewhere along the way, without knowing it, I worked inside your cinema. Your films didn’t teach me how to make movies — they taught me how to think dangerously." He added, "To have you say that Dhurandhar is a quantum leap feels surreal, emotional, and honestly a little unfair… because now whatever I do next has to live up to this tweet. You were one of my favourite directors who made Indian cinema feel fearless, impolite, and alive. If Dhurandhar has even a fraction of that DNA, it’s because your films whispered (sometimes screamed) in my head while I was writing and directing it. If I’ve assumed the audience is intelligent, it’s because you taught an entire generation that cinema should never apologize for its ambition. Thank you for this generosity, this madness, and this validation. The fan in me is overwhelmed. The filmmaker in me feels challenged. And the boy who came to Mumbai to work under RGV… finally feels seen. "
