It also won the Best Film Critics' Choice Award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne in 2024.

Payal Kapadia
2024 was the year of Payal Kapadia. She became the first female Indian director to win the Grand Prix at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. Before that, Payal's film 'A Night of Knowing Nothing' won the Golden Eye award for best documentary film at the 74th Cannes Film Festival in 2021. Her other film titled Afternoon Clouds was India's only official selection in the Cinefondation section of the 70th Cannes Film Festival in 2017.
