As the Shrine of Infant Jesus in Nashik celebrates its feast on February 9 next week, thousands of pilgrims carry out their annual pilgrimage to pray on the first Sunday of February

The novenas held on nine days ahead of the feast day started on January 30 and will end on February 9.

The Sunday mass held saw pilgrims come not only from the neighbourhood but all the way from Mumbai, Goa and other parts of the country.

Father Peter Lewis, S.J, is the founder of the shrine, which was built in 1970. The mass on Sunday was said by Father Bosco Dsouza.

While the church has masses on weekdays from 6:30 am and 12 noon, but on Sundays has an additional 8 am mass.
