The Thane Municipal Corporation today reported five new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the city to 108. Of these, 59 patients have successfully completed their five-day home isolation period. Currently, 16 patients are admitted to hospitals, with their condition reported as stable. "Brazil has developed a sugarcane breed through biotechnology that offers 14 per cent sugar recovery. If we use a similar variety in Maharashtra, it could positively impact our state`s economy by Rs 25,000 crore," Gadkari said in his address at the silver jubilee programme of Saturday Club Global Trust in Nagpur, reported PTI.
