A 59-year-old woman was duped of Rs 1.15 crore by four persons who promised to get her a subsidised MHADA flat, a Mumbai police official said on Friday. The victim, who retired from a reputed insurance company, came in contact with accused Ramchandra Acharekar, Prabhjan alias Prabhu Pujar, Ramakant Mahajani, and Satish alias Sachin Suryavanshi in March 2022, who claimed to have good contacts within MHADA, the Shahunagar police station official said.
