Dhantrayodashi or Dhanteras, a noted Hindu festival marks the first day of the five-day long festivities of Diwali. This year, Dhanteras will be observed on November 2, 2021, Tuesday.

Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Kubera (the lord of wealth) are worshipped on Trayodashi. Therefore, worshippers consider buying ornaments or utensils auspicious on Dhanteras.
