According to the Thane Municipal Corporation's disaster management cell, the blaze was reported in Shivkrupa Society in the city's Naupada area

Apart from electric meter boxes, the fire also completely charred the electric wiring in the room as well, the officials said

The fire brigade officials were able to extinguish the fire with the help of residents and the situation is now under control, they said

The officials from the disaster management cell said that firemen had arrived to the spot with one jeep and one fire engine and a pick-up van was also present

No one was injured in the incident. The cause of the fire was being investigated, the officials said

The incident comes a day after a similar incident was reported from the Ghodbunder Road area of the city
