The partially shadowed moon created a striking sight against the dark skyline, making for a memorable celestial moment
Across India, skywatchers watched as the full Moon darkened during a dramatic lunar eclipse on Tuesday evening
The phenomenon occurs when the entire Moon passes through the Earth's umbral shadow. A partial lunar eclipse, in contrast, takes place when only a part of the Moon moves into the Earth's shadow
Priests have said that at 7 pm, all the temple doors will be opened, baths will be given, and adornments will be performed. After Bhog Aarti, the doors will remain open until 11 pm
The total lunar Eclipse began at 3.20 pm, with totality from 4.34 pm to 5.33 pm, and concluded at 6.48 pm. With a magnitude of 1.155, the Moon appeared deeply immersed in Earth’s shadow.
