During a comprehensive review meeting at Mantralaya, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar emphasized that development projects must be executed with a long-term vision for the next hundred years. He issued a stern warning, stating that not a single rupee of the allocated funds should remain unutilized
Ajit Pawar, who also handles the Finance, Planning, and Excise portfolios, reviewed the progress of various key initiatives, including the creation of an artificial coral reef using the decommissioned Indian Navy ship INS Guldar off the Sindhudurg coast
The project aims to enhance tourism by offering attractions like scuba diving, submarine tours, and an underwater museum
Further projects reviewed include a Unity Mall near Ulwe International Airport in Navi Mumbai, Nashik's ‘Ram-Kal-Path’ heritage route, and hostels for working women in seven cities which includes Thane, Nagpur, Navi Mumbai, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Kalyan-Dombivli, and Solapur
Pawar assured full government support to clear project, stressing that there should be no financial or structural lapses. He insisted these projects must be durable and reflect the government's long-term vision
The high-level meeting saw the presence of numerous senior officials, including Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) O.P. Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary (Planning) Dr. Rajagopal Deora, Additional Chief Secretary (Urban Development) Asimkumar Gupta, Principal Secretary (Rural Development) Eknath Dawale, and Principal Secretary (Finance) Saurabh Vijay. Senior representatives from the Tourism, Public Works, and Public Health departments, as well as the Nashik Municipal Corporation and CIDCO, also attended
