Starting from Western Railway's platform 1 in the west to Central Railway's platform 8 in the extreme east, a common and continuous platform numbering system will be implemented, effective from December 9, 2023

Western Railway currently has seven platforms numbered from west 1 to 7, while Central Railway also has seven platforms, numbered from 1 to 7

The revised platform numbers for Dadar station will be as follows: the existing platform number 1 of Central Railway will become platform no. 8, while platform number 2 has been removed for platform widening

Subsequently, platform 3 will transform into platform 9, platform 4 will become 10, platform 5 will be renumbered as 11, platform 6 will change to 12, and platforms 7 and 8 will become 13 and 14, respectively
