At around 5:30 am, a container truck travelling from Ghodbunder towards Thane lost control while climbing the Manpada bridge and crashed into the divider
Emergency response teams were quick to act. Personnel from the city traffic police, two crane machines, one JCB, and staff from the Disaster Management Cell with a pickup vehicle were rushed to the site
To prevent further accidents, Disaster Management officials spread mud over the oil spill. The damaged vehicle was removed with the help of two cranes and traffic was restored
