Ahmedabad Plane crash LIVE Updates: `Miraculous survivor has been found,` says Ahmedabad Police Commissioner

According to ANI, Ahmedabad Police Commissioner GS Malik says, "The police found one survivor in seat 11A. One survivor has been found in the hospital and is under treatment. Cannot say anything about the number of deaths yet. The death toll may increase as the flight crashed in a residential area."

Senior BJP leader and former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani died at the age of 68 in the Air India flight crash in Ahmedabad on Thursday, authorities said. Rupani was onboard Air India flight AI171, which was headed to London’s Gatwick Airport when it crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad. He was reportedly seated in business class seat 2D.
