Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed a function to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in New Delhi. In his address, PM Modi lauded the IMD as a symbol of India's scientific journey and said that advanced weather forecasts have significantly reduced casualties and minimised economic losses caused by cyclones in the country (PICS/PTI)
