Derived from the name Mira, Miraya was born at a Khar hospital. They are already parents to daughter Radhya, who was born on October 23, 2017.

Esha Deol took to her Instagram account to share the news with fans and loved ones and wrote, "Welcome to our tribe Miraya Takhtani. Born on June 10, 2019. Gratitude to the divine, [sic]" Esha posted on Instagram. Hubby Bharat also shared the same picture on his Instagram account and wrote: "Thank you very much for the good wishes & blessings @imeshadeol #radhyatakhtani #mirayatakhtani [sic]." Esha also shared a photo of daughter Radhya and wrote, "I'm being promoted to big sister. [sic]"

Esha Deol tells mid-day, "Bharat and I are extremely happy and blessed. It's wonderful to have another girl in the family. Bharat is one lucky [guy] who will be surrounded by three beautiful women, all his life. Miraya and Radhya will complement each other."

Mother Hema Malini took a break from her political commitments in Mathura to be beside Esha during the delivery. "All of us are happy to have little Miraya in our family. It always feels nice to be surrounded with little angels," says Malini.

Esha Deol's husband Bharat Takhtani in a chat with mid-day said, "I am a happy and proud father. Miraya looks like Esha, and Radhya looks like me. So, I am glad that we have babies who resemble us."
