However, soon the actress filed a domestic violence case mentioning that Gupta insisted on her conversion to Hinduism ahead of their wedding. The Iranian model-actress was also asked to quit her acting career as the profession was deemed "incompatible with his family's status in the society". Things came to a halt when Gupta barred her from entering the house. She also alleged harassment by her mother-in-law.
Rahul Mahajan and Dimpy Ganguli: Less than a month after the much-publicised Swayamwar between Rahul Mahajan and Dimpy Ganguli, she spoke out about his abusive ways and also about wanting to step away from the marriage. Dimpy alleged that during their fights, Rahul used to point his gun at her. "I don't know what I have gotten myself into. He seemed nice, but no one can control him when he gets abusive," she was quoted saying. Dimpy is now happily married to Dubai-based businessman Rohit Roy.
Gaurav Chopra and Mouni Roy: Though their friends were expecting them to tie the knot, the couple instead called it quits in 2012. Constant verbal spats, as well as ex Narayani Shastri's presence in Gaurav's life, took a toll on the relationship.
Rajeev Paul and Delnaaz Irani: The TV actors were married for 14 years before they separated in 2010 and got divorced in 2012. While Delnaaz accused Rajeev of infidelity, the latter claimed that the low phase in his career was one of the reasons why Delnaaz walked away.

Reena Roy and Mohsin Khan: The actress married the Pakistani cricketer in 1983, when her career was at its peak, and quit movies. The marriage, however, did not last long even though they had a daughter, and Roy returned to films.

The news came as a shocker for 'Brangelina' fans. Angelina Jolie asked for physical custody of the couple's six children. One of the most celebrated Hollywood couples, Jolie-Pitt tied the knot in August 2014 after 10 years of togetherness.
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart: The duo got close to each other while sharing screen space in Twilight in 2008. Ever since then they were romantically linked. They broke up briefly after Kristen was caught cheating on him; she was photographed kissing director Rupert Sanders. The reconciliation did not last long though, as Pattinson decided to call it quits.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes: After two failed marriages, Cruise tied the knot with Holmes in 2006. After nine years and two children, Imran announced in 2004 that they had divorced. The news of the split came in the midst of media reports that Jemima was dating famous British actor Hugh Grant in London.
Arun Nayar and Liz Hurley: The much-publicised four-year marriage ended in divorce in 2011. A few months earlier, pictures of Hurley kissing ex-cricketer Shane Warne in a hotel in London had effectively sounded the death knell for the wedding.
Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston: The world cheered as TV superstar Jennifer Aniston tied the knot with Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt.
