Mumbai: Gruesome photos of the Elphinstone station stampede
A stampede, said to be sparked by heavy rains took place in Mumbai’s Elphinstone station. The incident has led to at least 22 being killed and numerous being injured

Elphinstone station, that was later named Prabhadevi station, has only one foot overbridge that is used by all passengers travelling to and from that station. This makes the foot overbridge extremely crowded, especially during peak hours
