This year's Eid proved to be a dampener for Salman Khan, who delivered a flop 'Tubelight' after seven years, the last being 'Veer'(2010). Salman Khan has released eight films on Eid, which have been successful monumentally.
'Ek Tha Tiger' is the story of a spy and his love interest, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. Released on Eid 2012, this film collected Rs. 31 crores on the first day and was declared a blockbuster.
An action oriented film starring Salman Khan and Ayesha Takia, 'Wanted' earned Rs. 5 crore on opening day, which was still big in 2009 and managed to earn the status of a super hit film.
Again an action oriented film starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, this film was loved for action as well as romance. 'Bodyguard' collected Rs 21 crores on the first day and was declared a super hit, within a few days.

'Sultan' can also be considered as yet another remarkable performances of Salman Khan who played the role of a wrestler. 'Sultan' opened to Rs 36 crores on the first day.
This Salman Khan starrer film takes us back to the glorious 90s. ' Judwaa' released on Eid and collected a nett of Rs 13.14 crores, a massive hit even back then. * All these numbers are industry estimates.
