    A Nalasopara-based doctor was detained by the police in November 2018 following the death of a 35-year-old woman. Identified as Dr Anil Kumar Yadav, the accused was operating from Durgesh Hospital in an under-construction building in Nalasopara East, where the victim Nitu Singh was admitted. The doctor got her admitted after a primary check-up but her condition deteriorated following which she was shifted to the nearby Life Care Hospital where she died a couple of hours later. When relatives and neighbours reached Durgesh Hospital, it was locked, the signboard was missing and there was no hospital staff around. The security guard at the under-construction building said that the hospital had opened barely 15 days ago and had several patients until it was shut down

    A minor girl was allegedly gang-raped by a doctor and his friend inside the former's clinic in Ghaziabad. The incident took place October 2018 in a residential locality. The eight-year-old was alone at home when the accused duo lured her inside the clinic by giving her Rs 20 and gang-raped her. When the girl's parents returned home at around 10.30 pm, she narrated the ordeal to her mother and complained of pain in the abdomen. The police are on the lookout for the accused

    Two doctors and a woman helper were arrested by Hyderabad police in April 2018 for performing sex-selective abortions in Hyderabad's Saidabad. An Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed in the High Court on which the court directed Saidabad police to submit a detailed report on Sri Gayatri Nursing Home, which was run by the accused. In the primary investigation, the police found that the accused Dr. Rachana Singh Takoor and her husband Dr. Kiran Kumar and a women helper Unissa, were involved in sex termination.     A 26-year-old banker lodged a complaint of molestation against Dr Gurugokul Bhaskaran Guruswami, with Mundhwa police in Pune. The doctor was arrested after a complaint was filed. The banker said she suffered from polycystic ovary syndrome, and came across Dr. Guruswami on Facebook who was organising a medical camp at a five-star hotel. The banker said that the accused touched her stomach and then lifted her t-shirt and touched her inappropriately. He also touched her private parts. It was further revealed that during the medical camp, the doctor had molested many women. The doctor was arrested and sent to judicial custody

Thakur's daughter allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself on February 12,2018. When Thakur contacted Jasuja for autopsy report of his daughter, the doctor allegedly told him that if Thakur paid Rs 2 lakh -- one lakh for him and another one lakh for police officials - he can give a report stating that it was a murder. He was booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act

The probe revealed that all five played a vital role in the scam and helped the racketeers to source and transplant kidneys illegally. Earlier on, the hospital’s transplant coordinator was also found to be involved in the racket, which was busted by a Powai social worker on July 14, 2016

The child, Dr Rajkumar Sadashiv Jadhav told the police, had been born to an unmarried woman at his hospital. A case was registered against him at the Vitthalwadi police station and he was produced in court. He was later released on bail.The arrest was the result of a joint operation conducted by the Child Protection Unit, Thane, along with the anti-human trafficking cell of the Thane crime branch
