Born on December 21, 1989, Tamannaah Bhatia is a complete Mumbai girl. Her father is a diamond merchant. She did her schooling in Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School, Mumbai. The Baahubali actress has been acting since the age of 13 and was associated with Prithvi Theatre. Though Tamannaah Bhatia is known for her work in Tamil and Telugu films, did you know she started off with a Bollywood film, at the age of 15?
Tamannaah Bhatia made her debut as an actress on big-screen with Bollywood film Chand Sa Roshan Chehra, which released in 2005. The film, which starred Samir Aftab, flopped miserably at the Box Office, and Tamannaah's debut went almost unnoticed.
However, in the same year, Tamannaah Bhatia made her Telugu debut with Mohan Manchu in Sree. She did her Tamil debut, the very next year (2006) with Kedi, also starring Ileana D'Cruz and Ravi Krishna. The film became a commercial success.
Tamannaah Bhatia, undoubtedly, has had a stellar career in South films as compared to Bollywood. The actress, in a span of 13 years, has starred over 50 films, including Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
Tamannaah was part of the cast in the 2015 Telugu blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning which starred Prabhas. Baahubali: The Beginning directed by SS Rajamouli was also dubbed into Hindi and was extremely successful at the box-office.
Tamannaah Bhatia returned to Bollywood in 2013 with Sajid Khan's Himmatwala after primarily working in Telugu and Tamil films. She starred opposite Ajay Devgn in the film which was unsuccessful at the box-office. She also appeared in Khan's Humshakals in 2014 but this film also failed to do well.
Recently, there were reports that Tamannaah Bhatia, who was earlier rumoured to be in a relationship with cricketer Virat Kohli and was also linked to former Pakistani cricketer Abdul Razzaq, will soon tie the knot with a US-based doctor. "One day it's an actor, another day it's a cricketer, and now it's a doctor. These rumours make it sound like I'm on a husband shopping spree. While I love the idea of being in love, I definitely don't appreciate baseless news when it comes to my personal life," Tamannaah said in a statement.
"I am happily single at the moment and my parents aren't 'groom hunting'. The only thing I'm romancing right now are my cinematic endeavours."
Tamanaah Bhatia's style mantra is - "An individual's style is something that reflects their personality and attitude. It defines 'you'. When I'm not working, I like to be myself - dressed comfortably. So, on my off days, you will find me in a pair of jeans and t-shirt."
Talking about her fashion preferences, Tamannaah Bhatia had said in an interview, "I don't really dress up too much for parties. I make sure that I keep it simple. So, I opt for a fun dress, or, maybe, a nice top with trousers or a shirt. Basically, it all depends on the occasion."
When asked about her favourite style icon from the film industry, she said, "In Bollywood, Deepika Padukone is one of the most well-dressed actresses. And among actors, it’s got to be Shah Rukh Khan. In the west, no one can match up to the fashion sense of Jennifer Lawrence. She is a confident dresser."
Known for her flawless skin, naturally airbrushed figure and long, dark tresses, Tamannaah Bhatia beauty secret is - "I take care of myself by keeping my skin clean. I moisturise my skin regularly and keep it glowing by eating the right food and drinking lots of water. A good night's sleep also helps."
Tamannaah Bhatia has a penchant for simple, dainty jewellery. She also finds various kinds of bracelets and earrings exciting to wear.
Tamannaah Bhatia's style tips are as simple as her personality. She said, "One should choose clothes that suit their body type and size. For me, less is more."
