Though the couple have neither confirmed nor denied their romance, this move is being viewed as an obvious announcement of their relationship. Even as rumours are rife about Bayern Munich star Scweinsteiger’s move to Manchester United, the 2014 FIFA World Cup-winning midfielder has been spending quality time away from the football field with Ivanovic in London before the year’s third Grand Slam begins on from Monday.

Schweinsteiger was also by Ivanovic’s side cheering for her at the French Open in Paris. On Thursday, he was with her at the training courts at SW19.

Meanwhile, British tabloids yesterday also reported that Ivanovic wore an impressive ring to the party. Ivanovic and Schweinsteiger were last month reported to have visited a jeweler to buy a diamond ring. The report then claimed that Ivanovic later wore the ring after secretly marrying Schweinsteiger at an undisclosed location alongside family and friends.

Former World No 1 Ivanovic (27) hasn’t tasted much success this year and recently made a second round exit at the AEGON Classic in Birmingham. With Schweinsteiger (30) by her side, she’d be hoping to go past the semi-finals stage at Wimbledon, something she has never done before.
