Salman Khan's upcoming Sooraj Barjatya directorial 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' may have a solo release as the makers of 'Ghayal Once Again' are reportedly postponing the Sunny Deol starrer's release
Salman Khan-starrer 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' is ready to hit screens on November 12, the same day as Sunny Deol’s big screen comeback — 'Ghayal Once Again'. However, if the latest buzz is to be believed, the former will now have a solo release with the makers of the Ghayal (1990) sequel having postponed the film’s release.
Says a source working on the project, “'Ghayal Once Again' will hit theatres at a later date as a major portion is yet to be filmed. The last shoot schedule will commence around September 20 in Mumbai and a new release date will be announced soon.”
The source insists that the delay in release has got nothing to do with “avoiding a clash” with Salman's Diwali outing and adds: “The only reason is that the shoot has not been completed as per schedule.”
Sunil Saini, co-producer of 'Ghayal Once Again', was not available for comment.
On the last day of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’s shoot, director Sooraj Barjatya got emotional while delivering the ceremonial ‘thank you’ speech before the cast and crew. He was all praise for Swara Bhaskar, who will be seen as Salman Khan’s sister in the film.
Before she was signed, Barjatya had apparently approached several actresses, but they turned down the offer. They felt that they might not get the opportunity to romance the star in any film in future, reveals a unit hand.
Confirming the news, Swara says, “What matters to me the most about the role is its relevance with the movie’s script. I am honoured to work with Sooraj sir and Salman sir.”
