A woman journalist associated with a television channel was molested and attacked by unidentified persons on Thursday while she was covering a cylinder blast accident in Santacruz, in which 4 people lost their lives.
A reporter with a Marathi TV news channel Manashree Pathak was assaulted, molested, abused by four to five goons at Vakola, Santacruz. Pathak was covering Santacruz cylinder blast story when the incident happened.
Pathak, along with her cameraman Narayan Parmar were stopped from covering the incident. When they, protested, the goons molested, abused and hit the Pathak with a paper roll. The other journalists who interevened, were attacked too.
The case has been registered with the police.
Footage shows agitated people arguing with media persons and in the mayhem, the woman reporter was assaulted by a man, who is yet to be identified.
However, some locals also tried to restrain the man but to no avail.
The footage was shot on a mobile by a bystander.
