Anuj Saxena 'unhappy' with Jagmohan Mundra's shoot

Jagmohan Mundra's film Chase (which had Begunah as its working title) has run into trouble. The thriller, produced by Anuj Saxena, which also stars him with Udita Goswami, will be reshot. Reason? The film's rushes don't appear in perfect flow!

It is learnt that last week the actor-turned-producer saw the rushes and was taken aback. Although the script was good, it didn't reflect in what Jag had shot.

Says a source, "Anuj and the others could not make sense of what they saw. Chase revolves around an innocent man who is framed for a crime and is on the run.

It has been penned by Tanveer Khan (who wrote Deadline: Sirf 24 Ghante), but what was filmed did not do justice to the script. As a result, it was decided to reshoot several scenes."

Adds the source, "Anuj held au00a0 closed-door meeting on Thursday with Jag and Krishna Bannerjee who is overseeing the project. Krishna was also the business manager of Sushmita Sen."

At the meet, Anuj expressed his concerns at what Mundra had shot. As the source puts it, "Chase is his production house Maverick's first independent project.

He was co-producer in the recent Aftab-Aamna starrer Aloo Chaat. Moreover Anuj is also relaunching himself as an actor." Years back Anuj had debuted in Sar Aankhon Par while his next, Lipsu2013The Kiss of Death did not see light of day.

Though Anuj remained unavailable for comment, both Jag and Krishna denied that Chase would be reshot.

Keeping busy

Says Jag, "There is no question of a reshoot. The filming was delayed as the producer wanted to start shooting in the new financial year after March 31. So I began work on my next project Apartment. Now I am busy with it and will shoot for Chase next month."

While Krishna maintains, "Chase's shoot was put off as one of the actresses (Tarina Patel) had to undergo an operation and could not shoot; then she got married. Now we are acquiring fresh dates and will have a final schedule next month."

The film's cast includes Aditya Raj Kapoor, Rajesh Khattar and Shweta Menon. Chase was launched in September last year.
