The gruesome double murder case of 14-year-old Aarushi Talwar and domestic help Hemraj Banjade at the Talwars' Noida residence shocked the nation back in 2008.

The case, which was already sensational, owing to the conspiracy theories surrounding it, took a turn for the worse after the sword fell on Aarushi's parents, Rajesh and Nupur Talwar, who were convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment.

This podcast, with eight chapters, is scripted and narrated by journalist Nishita Jha. Veteran journalist Avirook Sen's book, Aarushi, forms the backbone of the audio clips. He was one of the few scribes to point out the flaws in the investigation and question the prosecution's methods during the course of the trial.

The podcast episodes narrate the curious case of the whisky bottle found in the house, conversations with Aarushi's grandfather, Group Captain BG Chitnis (retired), and more. "When we approached the block, we heard Rajesh crying out loud, and screams of Nupur. When we reached home, both of them were in Aarushi's room. Rajesh was dazed. He couldn't recognise who is coming and going," Chitnis recalls details of the horrific day. Guests like Prakash Singh (DGP, UP Police) and Richa Anirudh (radio and television host) participate in the chat too.
