They may not have worked together in a film, but have now joined hands for a cause. Kunal Kapoor and Richa Chadha have decided to raise funds to build a shelter home for girls who have escaped prostitution and wish to start afresh.

A source says, &ldquo;They have associated with an NGO called Purnata which works with minor girls and women rescued from the illegal business.&rdquo;
While there are plans to build a residency for these girls, the actors have raised Rs 12 lakh to cover the rent for two years. &ldquo;There are 15 girls who have benefited by the actors&rsquo; initiative. However, the duo wants to contribute more and keep providing funds to the NGO,&rdquo; adds the source.
When we contacted Richa for a comment, she sais, &ldquo;I always wanted to be able to do something, when I was a little famous, for causes that I believed in. These girls have been to hell and back, and if I can do anything at all to make them heal, it&rsquo;s an absolute privilege for me.&rdquo;
