A body of a 21-year-old was discovered on Friday afternoon from a 30-foot open drain at Shivaji Nagar in Govandi.
The police suspect that at the time of death, the boy was intoxicated.
A local spotted the body &mdash;identified as Mahmud Badsha Kashim Shaiyad &mdash; and informed the police, who later took him to Shatabdi Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. &ldquo;As per our investigation, the boy might have been under the influence when he fell in. But we can&rsquo;t confirm anything until we get the post-mortem report,&rdquo; said Balasaheb Jadhav, senior police inspector of the Shivaji Nagar police station.
The police registered an accidental death report. Meanwhile, another body, identified as 30-year-old Mukesh Matra, was found from a talao in Bhiwandi. The police says he drowned while swimming.
