A 53-year-old man was arrested by the D N Nagar police for allegedly raping his eight-year-old daughter repeatedly. According to the police, the survivor did not understand her father’s actions and so would not complain about it.
However, the incidents finally came to light on Tuesday, after she complained to her mother of pain in her private parts. Cops said that the girl was the accused’s daughter from a second marriage, and he would take advantage of the mother’s absence whenever she went out to the market.

In her statement to the police, the minor admitted that her father would molest and rape her several times every day, while he was under the influence of alcohol. On Tuesday afternoon, when her mother went out of the house, the accused allegedly raped her again. But, this time, when her mother returned, the young girl complained of severe pain in her private parts.
Never suspecting that her husband had raped his own daughter, she took the survivor to a civic hospital, where the doctors revealed, upon medical examination, that she had been raped. The mother-daughter duo went to the D N Nagar police station and narrated the whole incident, and the survivor told the cops about her daily ordeal.
“The survivor was raped by her father several times while he was under the influence of alcohol. After her complaint, we registered an FIR against the accused and booked him under various sections of the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO),” said a police officer from the D N Nagar police station.
