Los Angeles: Hollywood legend Patrick Stewart had to sit through long hours of make-up while shooting for "Logan" so that he looked older than he is.

The 76-year-old veteran had to look like a 90-year-old for his role as Charles Xavier in the latest installment in the "X-Men" franchise, which was a task in itself the make-up designer Joel Harlow has revealed in an interview with The Verge.

"I was adding one hair at a time to Patrick's eyebrows and ears, but you might miss it if you didn't know it was there... "There is a lot of makeup on him that you can't pick out, because hopefully, it's very real. But it's those subtleties that happen to us as we get older," said Harlow.

However, the Oscar-winning artist was happy that he did not face any protests when he had to work on making the actors look older and wrinklier for the movie.
