Salman has also requested his friends and fans through social media to keep their surroundings free from filth. “Salman, along with his crew, cleaned up the areas dumped with garbage and during the process, he got to know about this village called Gondavli Wadi. The houses there were not painted so Salman decided to put his team on the job. In fact, he painted a few houses himself and the entire village was very happy with his thoughtful gesture,” adds a source close to the actor.

On Gandhi Jayanti, Modi announced the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and nominated eight distinguished personalities, including Salman, to take part in the initiative. He urged the celebs to accept the task and nominate nine others to keep the chain growing.

Salman’s spokesperson remained unavailable for comment.
