Rumour mills suggest former World No. 1 tennis ace is planning to enter the professional wrestling circuit this April
Former World No. 1 tennis ace Serena Williams reportedly set to be a part of World Wrestling Entertainment's (WWE) Wrestlemania this April.
The Morning News USA recently reported that Serena could face off against WWE women's star Charlotte Flair — the daughter of wrestling legend Ric Flair.
Whether the bout will be physical in nature or just an exhibition bout, is not known, but knowing Serena's aggressive on-court attitude, some believe she could well be up for a fight after all.
The customised belt WWE gifted Serena Williams
The 35-year-old, who beat her sister Venus (36) to claim her 23rd Grand Slam title at the Australian Open last month, was gifted a customised WWE Championship belt after the win.
Her fiancé Alexis Ohanian proudly posted the picture of the belt on Reddit, the website he co-founded. Serena's representatives however, haven't confirmed or denied the possibility of a fight. Let's hope this is no April Fool prank!
