And although he keeps telling everyone that all his proteges are his favourites, it seems that one of them has edged out the other. So much so that this filmmaker has been recommending the actor to everyone else.

A source says, “There has been a lot of speculation about the equation between this director and his actor protege. The latter has already worked with the filmmaker in a few films and it looks like some more projects may be chalked out in the future. He is often spotted hanging out with the filmmaker and now it has emerged that the filmmaker is asking his close producer-director friends to cast him in their respective films. It is also being said that this actor is only bagging work because of this filmmaker’s recommendation.”
The filmmaker is now keen to get the actor some big ad deals. “Recently, he was approached to endorse a clothing brand and they were ready to pay the filmmaker a huge amount. They even requested him to get another actor protégé on board for a commercial, but the filmmaker made it clear that he only wanted to work with his favourite actor. He put forward the condition that he would sign the contract only if they finalised the actor recommended by him,” says the source.
