Chennai: World No 4 Stanislas Wawrinka said that he served better than last year as he annexed his third Chennai Open title yesterday.
Asked as to what has changed in his game, he said: "For the past two years, I am trying to change — trying to move better, play more aggressively. I have a better forehand and serve better. I am happy with my improved performance this week."
With a hat-trick of Chennai Open titles under his belt, he said, "It is a great feeling to win the finals. It is important to focus on every plan. I am really happy to win it in straight sets.
The crowd support was amazing. There is lot of support here and it is a great feeling to be on the court." Reacting to the tournament getting extended for another three years, he said: I enjoy the people here. The fans have been nice with me since every time I come here."
