'Mastram' actress Tara Alisha Berry has landed a role in Anurag Basu's upcoming telefilm 'Chokher Bali' which will air on an entertainment channel.

Tara will play the character of Ashalata in the drama that is based on Rabindranath Tagore's novel. In their first meeting itself, Basu was convinced that Alisha could fit into the typically Bengali milieu of the show.
Meanwhile, Tara has also developed a close bond with Anurag and his wife Tani. The couple refers to her as their daughter. Basu's wife has also given Tara her personal collection of traditional Bengali saris for the show.
Tara has also been shooting for Abhik Banu's 'Gun Pe Done' with Jimmy Sheirgill.
