If the industry grapevine is to be believed, a film is being planned on Homer's epic poem, the Odyssey, about Odysseus, the legendary hero in Greek mythology. Known for his intellectual brilliance, the desi, modern-day adaptation, Taap, is the brainwave of producers Prernaa Arora and Arjun N Kapoor.

The duo plan to begin work on the project after their Shahid Kapoor-starrer Batti Gul Meter Chalu, which has just rolled. Prakash Jha's Raajneeti (2010) was a modern-day retelling of the Mahabharat. The makers plan to retell the classic Greek poem in a similar vein and set it in today's India. Three leading B-Town stars are said to be in consideration for the titular role.
