When Zareen Khan was honoured at the PTC Punjabi film awards event held recently in Mohali, she thanked Vindu Dara Singh.
Zareen Khan with Vindu Dara Singh
It is well known that Salman Khan launched her in Bollywood in 'Veer' (2010), but it was Vindu who convinced her to join the Punjabi film industry.
After winning the Best Debut Award for her movie 'Jatt James Bond', Vindu was the first person she thanked. Initially, when Zareen Khan was offered Punjabi movies, she would reject all of them.
It was Vindu who convinced her to act in 'Jatt James Bond' which has Punjabi sensation Gippy Grewal as her co-star. Interestingly, Gippy is now Kareena Kapoor Khan's co-star in the upcoming film 'Udta Punjab'.
Zareen Khan recalled her dialogue in 'Housefull 2', "Sosa pe kar lo bharosa" and it worked in her favour.
