Defending champions Mumbai Police City Riders opened their campaign in style as they defeated Bandra Heroes by six wickets in the Twister-Mitsui Shoji T-20 five-team league, hosted by MCC and Jwala Sports Foundation at Police Gymkhana ground, Marine Lines last night.
Batting first, Bandra Heroes could muster only 133 for eight.
In reply, thanks to some fine attacking batting by Akash Parkar (68 not out), the Mumbai cops were home with six wickets to spare.
