Canada is in mourning after a brutal mass shooting in a remote British Columbia community left eight people dead and more than 25 injured, following a violent attack that began at a private residence and escalated into a school massacre. Authorities have identified the transgender suspect as Jesse Van Rootselaar, an 18-year-old former student of the targeted school, who was later found dead from what police describe as an apparent self-inflicted wound.
