Content creator Anita Dinaram Bishnoi, who recently went viral on social media for her comments on women's clothing and lifestyle choices, has reportedly consumed poison after allegedly facing online trolling and harassment. The 32-year-old, based in Jodhpur, is currently undergoing treatment and is said to be in critical condition. She is most well known as 'kapde chhote ho gaye' lady after her video went viral.
Over the past two weeks, Bishnoi's videos gained significant attention online, with many users responding to and debating her content. On Wednesday morning, before the incident, she shared multiple social media posts and a nearly 90-second video in which she alleged that six men and two women were defaming and targeting her.
She claimed she had been subjected to intense online trolling and harassment. Bishnoi also referred to an ongoing land dispute and alleged that she had been involved in a physical altercation with two women connected to the matter. According to her, she had been threatened and warned that attempts would be made to damage her reputation.
Before the incident, she shared two posts on Facebook. In one of them, she expressed distress, while another featured a photograph of herself in tears.
In one post, Bishnoi wrote that a woman's reputation and honour are among the most important things in her life and alleged that hers was being tarnished by a few individuals.
In the video, she said she possessed recordings, videos and other evidence related to the matter and challenged those she accused to speak directly rather than allegedly using others to defame her.
She later went live on Instagram, where she spoke about the criticism she had been facing over her videos. She claimed that even people who had once been close to her were now speaking against her. During the livestream, she reportedly consumed poison. According to reports, around 1,300 people were watching the broadcast at the time.
According to family members, Anita had been under significant mental stress in recent days due to alleged harassment and trolling on social media platforms. She has nearly 1.3 million followers on Facebook and more than 645,000 on Instagram.
Her husband, Dinaram Bishnoi, alleged that several local influencers and some family members had been harassing his wife and threatening to defame her. He said that the incessant harassment pushed her to take the step.
He further stated that multiple abusive WhatsApp messages had been sent to her and claimed that the family possesses recordings and other evidence related to the allegations.
According to him, he was away from home when the incident occurred.After being informed by acquaintances about the social media posts, Deenaram returned home and found Anita's condition deteriorating. She was then immediately taken to MDM Hospital for treatment.
Family members have appealed for privacy and are hoping for her speedy recovery.Police are expected to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the social media posts and allegations made by Anita in the video
