RJ Mahvash says she has been a good friend to Yuzvendra Chahal, reveals why she unfollowed him

Actor and radio jockey RJ Mahvash has opened up about her equation with cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. Following Chahal's separation from former wife Dhanashree Verma, the two were often spotted spending time together. Mahvash was also seen cheering for Punjab Kings during the IPL season, as Chahal was part of the squad.

However, fans recently noticed that the two had unfollowed each other on social media, sparking speculation about a fallout.

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Mahvash addressed the buzz and explained why she unfollowed Chahal.

RJ Mahvash told Pinkvilla, "People tend to make a big deal out of small things. It's really not such a huge issue. Friends have arguments, they unfollow each other, what's so big about that? And the friends with whom you've laughed over the silliest things should never be held onto with bitterness. I will always wish him well."

"In fact, when you are comfortable talking absolute nonsense with friends, you should not hold any grudges against them. So, I would always wish him all the best, and my best wishes will always be with him. There's no such big deal in it," she added.

She further said that one should only hold grudges when the situation is truly serious. Explaining her point, Mahvash said that only if someone is lying on a hospital bed and you still do not wish to speak to them does it become a genuine problem.

No romance, says Mahvash

It was also rumoured that Chahal found love in RJ Mahvash after his separation. While the two never confirmed any romantic angle, Mahvash has now clarified that there was never one. She stressed that she had only been a supportive friend during a challenging phase in his life.

"No, that was never the case. I have been a great friend to him. At that time, during Chahal's separation phase, he needed a good friend. So, we were all just focusing on helping him get through his IPL season. I stood by him as a support system. Going forward as well, we will always meet the way we used to. I will fearlessly stand by him," she said.
