Rubina Dilaik reacts to people comparing skin tones of her 20-month-old twin daughters: 'It is very horrible'

Rubina Dilaik, an actress who welcomed twin daughters with husband Abhinav Shukla in November 2023, revealed that people around her frequently compare her baby girls' skin complexions. Rubina stated that she considers both of her girls "beautiful" regardless of their skin tone.

Rubina reveals how people have been commenting on her twin daughters' skin colour

Rubina discussed beauty standards in her most recent vlog, saying, "My one baby is a little dark, the other is light... and people come and compare, which is very horrible. But I always tell them that my daughter is beautiful, regardless of whether she is fair or dusky. And I tell them, "Never bring this comparison into my home."

She also revealed that she ignores the advice and home treatments offered by her family. "Sometimes, even our family members and relatives suggest that we use dal paste or besan to lighten her complexion, but I tell them not to think about it. My daughters are stunningly beautiful."

Rubina explained that she has been teaching her girls to be confident in their skin since they were very little. "They are still very young to understand, but I always whisper to them, 'You're beautiful just the way you are, you are strong, you are fearless'. This is how we build the psychology. It took me 30+ years to realise it, but I want my daughters to know it right from the start," she said.

Rubina and Abhinav married in a lavish ceremony on June 21, 2018. However, their relationship suffered during the lockdown, and they considered divorce, but they decided to give their marriage one final chance by competing in Bigg Boss together. The show had its effect, and thereafter, the two stated that they had fallen in love all over again.

Her stint with Laughter Chefs 2

Rubina is currently winning hearts on Laughter Chefs 2, paired opposite her Bigg Boss frenemy Rahul Vaidya. From adjusting to a new bond to now becoming buddies with the show, Rahul and Rubina have come a long way. The finale is set to have Abhinav Shukla on the show, where he will have a hilarious confrontation with Abhishek Kumar. As soon as Abhishek sees Abhinav enter, he runs and hides. Vicky, Elvish and Samarth bring him out, and he rushes to hold Abhinav's feet and calls him 'jiju'.
