Akon is ready to captivate the crowd in Delhi today (November 9) with his unique tour. The singer-rapper was seen arriving at Delhi International Airport with his wife, Tomeka Thiam, and other crew members ahead of his highly awaited event.

Akon looked great in all black, donning a black sweatshirt and black pants. Tomeka was also dressed in black, and the two of them smiled as they noticed the photographers stationed outside the airport on Sunday afternoon. Akon posed for photos and stated that he is delighted to perform in India.

Recent divorce rumours of Akon and Tomeka Thiam

Akon and Tomeka formed a united front after she filed for divorce in September, citing irreconcilable differences. She cited their breakup date as "TBD". The lawsuit also said that the couple has one child together, a 17-year-old daughter named Journey.

The event will take place at the Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium on Lodhi Road in South Delhi from 5 to 10 p.m. With approximately 10,000 people expected to attend, police stated admission to the stadium will be limited to gates 13 and 14, while parking for spectator vehicles will be provided at gates 7 through 9, as well as the Scope Complex MCD parking.

Previously, Akon had mentioned in a press note, "India has always shown me so much love -- it's like a second home. The energy, the culture, the fans... it's on another level. I'm beyond excited to be back and perform live for y'all. This tour is gonna be something special -- let's make history together!"

After Delhi, Akon will play in Bengaluru (November 14) and Mumbai (November 16). "Bringing Akon back to India is a celebration. This is the night supporters have been hoping for. "We promise an extravagant experience that will be remembered for years," said Aman Kumar, White Fox's co-founder.

Last year, Akon lit up the stage with a special performance at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding festivities. Akon is well-known among Indian fans. The artist sang the popular track Chammak Challo from Shah Rukh Khan's 2011 film Ra.One.
