Ben Affleck gets cosy with Jennifer Lopez as they reunite at Kiss of the Spider Woman premiere

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck publicly reunited at the New York City premiere of her new movie, Kiss of the Spider Woman, on Monday, October 6, 2025. The appearance came eight months after their divorce was finalised in February 2025. Apart from appearance, the actors also praised each other for support during the film.

Jennifer and Ben were all smiles as they posed on the red carpet and chatted. This marked their first public appearance together since their divorce was finalised earlier this year. For the premiere night, Lopez, turned heads in a dramatic gown with an exaggerated corset, while Affleck looked dapper in a navy suit and white button-up. He wrapped his arm around the actress-singer as they posed for photographers. The appearance sparked reconciliation rumours among some fans.

At the screening, Affleck was all praise for his former wife's performance. According to Hollywood Reporter, he said, "It's an honor to be here. This movie is exquisite. Jennifer, you're incredible. Bill, you did an amazing job. [Tonatiuh], you're phenomenal. Welcome to a lifelong stardom. Enjoy it. There's ups and downs, but here you are."

"It's really, truly a thrill and honour, and I'm just proud of this movie. Thank you for letting me be part of it," Affleck added. While Lopez also stated the project wouldn't be possible if Ben didn't serve as executive producer.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck first began dating in the early 2000s and were even engaged before parting ways. They reunited years later and married in 2022. Two years on, Jennifer filed for divorce, naming April 26 as their separation date, with the divorce getting finalized in January 2025.

In July this year, Lopez released a breakup song ‘Wreckage of You'. Speaking to Interview Magazine, she shared, "It almost took me out for good," admitting the tough year she had after the divorce. She added, "But now, on the other side of it, I think, ‘That's exactly what I needed.'"

Affleck has children from his marriage to Jennifer Garner, while Lopez is a mother to children from her marriage to Marc Anthony.
