Britney Spears has opened up about a distressing beauty experience, warning fans to be cautious after she claimed a recent Botox procedure left her with a drooping left eye.
The pop star took to Instagram on Friday to share a video detailing what she described as an "embarrassing" experience. Spears said the issue occurred after a doctor allegedly injected too much Botox around her left eye, causing it to droop noticeably.
In the video, Spears demonstrated the effect by pressing her fingers around her eye. "They put so much botox in this left eye that it drooped down like that," she claimed, adding that the eye had only recently started returning to normal.
According to Spears, the drooping lasted for around four weeks. The singer used the experience to caution others considering Botox, urging them to be particularly careful about who performs the procedure.
"Girls, you have to be careful if you do botox," Spears said, before alleging that doctors could "really f''k your eyes up." She further urged her followers to be mindful of their bodies, stressing that people ultimately have ownership over their appearance and choices.
Spears captioned the video, "You can't trust anyone!!!"
The singer's comments come as she continues to be candid about her personal life and struggles on social media. Her latest beauty warning was shared shortly after she posted an emotional message about motherhood, her relationship with her sons and her difficult experiences during her 13-year conservatorship.
In the earlier post, Spears said she felt she had "failed as a mother" after one of her sons reportedly told her that he does not believe in God. She also recalled feeling deeply hurt when she alleged that her estranged parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears, secretly took her sons to the beach without her.
Spears has previously spoken about the impact of her conservatorship, which ended in November 2021 after 13 years. Since then, the singer has remained under intense public scrutiny, with her social media posts frequently drawing attention.
Her recent years have also included legal and personal challenges. She was arrested for a DUI in March and later entered rehab, before accepting a "wet reckless" plea deal in May.
Despite the difficult period, Spears has reportedly rebuilt her relationship with sons Sean Preston and Jayden James. Her latest posts once again offer fans a glimpse into the personal experiences she continues to navigate away from the stage.
